The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) has registered a case against former DMK minister V. Senthil Balaji and six others in connection with a corruption scandal involving TASMAC. Senthil Balaji has been named as the primary accused in the case, while IAS officer Visagan is listed as the second accused.
The investigation also includes former TASMAC officials Ramadurai Murugan and Panneerselvam among the accused. The charges follow allegations of systemic irregularities within the state-run liquor retail corporation.
