A traditional seed exchange event was held in Kesampatti, near Melur in the Madurai district, to mark the Aadi Perukku festival. The program was organized by the Southern Districts Organic Farmers Federation.
The initiative aimed to promote organic farming practices and ensure the preservation of indigenous seed varieties. During the event, a wide range of traditional seeds were displayed, and participants were provided with free seeds to encourage local cultivation.
