Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin has expressed deep distress over the custodial death of Arunachalam, who died after being taken in for questioning in Tuticorin. He alleged that the Chief Minister’s silence is the primary reason for the recurring nature of such custodial deaths in the state.
Stalin further criticized the government for failing to take appropriate action regarding these incidents, accusing officials of prioritizing cinema over public safety. He questioned what explanation the administration intends to provide to the grieving family of the deceased.
