Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated that the blending of ethanol in petrol might lead to a slight reduction in vehicle mileage.
He clarified that the ethanol blending target would only be increased from 20% to 25% after all essential tests are successfully concluded.
Furthermore, the minister highlighted the availability of space for electric vehicles, biofuel-blended vehicles, and CNG vehicles in the market.
