Indian benchmark equity indices commenced trading higher on Tuesday.
This upward trend was driven by strong performances in banking and financial stocks, alongside positive global market sentiment. Further support came from ongoing Qatar-mediated talks between Iran and the US aimed at de-escalating recent reciprocal attacks.
At approximately 9:16 am IST, the BSE Sensex recorded a gain of 196.32 points, or 0.26%, reaching 76,924.69, after opening at 77,005.51.
Similarly, the NIFTY 50 also traded positively, advancing 38.65 points, or 0.16%, to 23,984.90. The index had opened at 24,032.05.
